By virtue of this RESOLUTION No. 19, and in compliance with R.A. 9646, or the Real Estate Service Act of the Philippines (RESA), the PRC/PRBRES:

1.    Granted the petition of the Philippine Institute of Real Estate Service Practitioners, Inc. (PHILRES) to be recognized and accredited by the PRBRES, with the approval of the PRC, as the one (1) and only Accredited and Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) of Registered and Licensed Real Estate Service Practitioners, and issued a Certificate of Accreditation to PHILRES signed by the PRBRES Chairman and Board Members and the PRC Chairman and Commissioners.

2. The petition was granted after PRBRES consulted with different organizations of real estate service and invited them to submit their petitions – should they be interested – to be recognized and accredited as the AIPO. Of all these organizations, only two filed their petitions and supporting documents. These were FRESA (the Federation of Real Estate Associations, Inc.), and PHILRES.

3. After due diligence marked by a careful review and evaluation by the PRBRES of the petitions in light of PRC Res. No. 178, series of 2004, and various criteria agreed upon at meetings with the two petitioners, PHILRES was selected to become the AIPO.

4. By virtue of this PRC/PRBRES Resolution No. 19, the PHILRES is enjoined to:

a) Register licensed real estate service practitioners as its members;

b) Issue certification of membership in good standing (CMIGS) - upon payment of fees or dues - to the PHILRES members for presentation to the PRC for renewal of their professional identification cards;

c) Insure the accomplishment of the purposes, duties and responsibilities prescribed in R.A. 9646 and its IRR, and the Bylaws of PHILRES;

d) Keep and make up-to-date its roster/roll/registry of members;

e) Charge and collect reasonable fees from its members and provide them the benefits and privileges they are entitled to, pursuant to the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of PHILRES;

f) Motivate the members to undergo the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs, activities, courses, etc. provided by PHILRES or by other duly accredited providers;

g) Observe the relevant Rules on the possible cancellation or suspension of accreditation only after due hearing for just cause; and

h) Not to bar PHILRES members from joining any other affiliate organizations of real estate practitioners.

NOTE:  By virtue of #4 b), licensed real estate practitioners will not be able to renew their PRC licenses or identification cards, unless they first present the PHILRES certification of membership in good standing (CMIGS).
